A NIGHT TO REMEMBER – THE BANGKOK BALL DROP AT LEBUA

Last night, the Bangkok Ball Drop at lebua took New Year’s Eve to a whole new level with the highest ball drop in the world from the world’s highest alfresco restaurant.

As the 7-foot Bangkok Ball began its descent from atop the 49-foot-high steel pole at Sirocco 872 feet in the air, the sky aglow with its 2,950 LED and 50 strobe lights, the accompanying fireworks and stars, the spectacle was seen for more than a mile across the city – and a lot farther than that through the thousands of tweets, posts, photos and videos that spread around the world.

For those who were there with us at The Dome and those throughout the city who would like to relive the moment, and for anyone who missed it, we’ve captured it for you so everyone can experience the extraordinary night that transformed the Bangkok skyline.

Happy New Year 2015!
