Sirocco is the country's only restaurant to earn a Perfect 10 rating on ‘Thailand’s Best Restaurants' list.
We're truly honored that Sirocco is the only restaurant since 2010 to earn a 10 out of 10 in all four categories of Food, Wine, Ambience and Service on Thailand Tatler's annual ‘Thailand's Best Restaurants' list.
Compiled by professional food writers and prominent personalities, the list of 150 restaurants has become a tradition in the country, and one that is greatly appreciated by diners in search of exceptional dining experiences.
When asked what this kind of recognition meant to him personally, lebua Hotels & Resorts CEO Deepak Ohri replied that "I think of it as both a testament to the success of our mission to offer the ultimate upscale casual dining experience in terms of cuisine, beverages, atmosphere and service, and a validation of the significant changes we've made at Sirocco in the last six months – changes that began with our new Chef de Cuisine Gonzalo Ruiz, who is as passionate about taking the restaurant back to its Mediterranean origins as I am".
These changes begin with ingredients from the wider Mediterranean Basin like Atlantic Diver Scallops hand-harvested from cold North Atlantic currents of northwest France; cold-water Catalan Monkfish from Mataró, Spain; and the ‘Perle de Dombes' duck from Villars les Dombes, France. Exceptional ingredients like this are not about extravagance or excess, but rather Chef Gonzalo's passionate attention to detail.
Chef Gonzalo recently unveiled one of the restaurant's most ambitious presentations to date: in celebration of its tenth anniversary, 'The 2003 Heritage Collection' takes guests on a culinary journey deep into Sirocco's – and Gonzalo's – Mediterranean roots. The special menu is the culmination of a ten-year quest by extraordinary chefs for exclusive ingredients and new ways to combine them that has made Sirocco the unrivaled culinary destination it is today – one that can only be described as a Perfect Ten.
